Sana Yousaf Murder Case: Suspect Denies Confession, Claims Torture in Court

In the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousaf, the main accused Omar Hayat has rejected the alleged confession statement, stating that he did not commit any murder or related offence.

A hearing was held at the Additional District and Sessions Court, where Omar Hayat recorded his statement under Section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code in the presence of his lawyer.

The accused denied all charges and also levelled allegations against the police and prosecution, claiming that he had no link to the incident and had never travelled to Islamabad.

He further claimed that he and Sana Yousaf were known TikTok personalities and alleged that social media pressure influenced the investigation, leading to his arrest from his home in Jaranwala on June 3.

Omar Hayat also alleged that police fabricated evidence, including a rent-a-car agreement, and stated that no CCTV footage from the vehicle or rental office exists on record. He claimed statements from the vehicle owner and driver were obtained under pressure and described the case as a “blind murder” with contradictions between medical and police reports.

He further alleged that after his arrest, he was taken to the police station where the victim’s family was present, and claimed that police circulated his videos and presented him as the accused.
