JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has announced nationwide protests on Wednesday and Friday over the killing of cleric Maulana Idrees.
According to police, the former Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) MPA was shot dead on Tuesday by unidentified assailants.
JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghouri said that peaceful protest demonstrations will be held across all provinces and districts, including at provincial headquarters.
He added that party organisations at provincial and district levels will lead the protests against what the party termed the “martyrdom” of Maulana Idrees.
