The Government of Punjab has introduced major changes to pension rules for public sector employees, with the new policy officially announced by the Finance Department Punjab. Under the revised pension policy, government employees seeking voluntary retirement must now complete at least 25 years of service and be a minimum of 55 years old. Retirement requests will only be approved once both conditions are fulfilled, and whichever requirement is completed later will be considered final. The updated rules aim to regulate early retirement and ensure strict compliance with service tenure and age limits across the province.
