Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has accepted K-Electric CEO Moonis Alvi’s appeal against his conviction in a workplace harassment case, effectively clearing him of all charges. Moonis Alvi had challenged the Provincial Ombudsman’s ruling, and the governor set aside the decision, noting that the WhatsApp messages presented as evidence were professional and respectful. The ruling also clarified that the complainant’s termination was carried out by the Human Resources Board due to unsatisfactory performance, not by the CEO. K-Electric confirmed the outcome in a formal notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Earlier, the Sindh High Court had suspended the removal order while upholding the fine. Following the governor’s decision, the harassment case was dismissed on professional grounds, resulting in Moonis Alvi’s full acquittal.
