MQM-P Urges Bilawal to Seek Resignations of Sindh CM, Karachi Mayor

MQM-P leader Farooq Sattar on Tuesday called on PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari to seek the resignations of the Sindh chief minister and the Karachi mayor amid rising political tensions following the Gul Plaza fire incident. Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, Sattar blamed Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab for worsening the situation, saying their actions were creating serious problems for the PPP. He urged Bilawal to consult President Asif Ali Zardari and decide on their removal, adding that the MQM-P itself was not directly demanding resignations but asking the PPP leadership to take responsibility as calls grow for greater federal involvement in Karachi’s affairs.
