Saudi Arabia has appointed Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Humaid as the new Grand Mufti of the Kingdom and Chairman of the Senior Council of Scholars, one of its highest religious bodies. The announcement was made on September 24, 2025, by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. A renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dr. Saleh is widely respected for his expertise in Shariah law, decades of service in teaching and leadership, and his balanced approach to addressing contemporary issues through an Islamic perspective.
