44 killed, 100+ Peoples injured in ‘suicide’ blast at JUI-F convention in KP’s Bajaur.

At least 44 people were killed and over 100 wounded in a suicide blast at a Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) workers’ convention in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Bajaur district. The explosion occurred during a gathering of more than 400 JUI-F members and supporters in Khar, near the Afghanistan border. KP Health Minister Riaz Anwar confirmed the casualties. The JUI-F emir in Khar tehsil, Maulana Ziaullah Jan, was among the deceased. Authorities collected evidence from the blast site and promised to apprehend the culprits. Hospitals were put on high alert, and critical patients were being transported to nearby cities for treatment. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack and pledged to punish those responsible. The JUI-F chief also called for an inquiry and appealed to party workers to donate blood. The incident sparked nationwide outrage against terrorism and condolences for the victims’ families.
