Wasim Akram urges the chairman to question the captain, selection committee, and coach about their team selection

After Pakistan’s six-wicket loss to India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, cricket legend Wasim Akram has called for major changes in the national team. He criticized their recent struggles in white-ball cricket and emphasized the need for bold decisions to rebuild the squad, even if it means short-term setbacks. Akram pointed out the underperformance of Pakistan’s bowling attack and stressed the importance of bringing in fresh talent and stronger strategies. He also urged PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi to hold the leadership accountable, particularly questioning captain Mohammad Rizwan’s decision-making.
