Punjab Enforces One-Dish Rule and Bans Loud Music at Weddings

The Punjab government has ordered strict enforcement of the one-dish rule at weddings and a crackdown on loud music without permission. In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, commissioners and deputy commissioners were directed to ensure full compliance across the province. Officials were also instructed to take action against the illegal use of loudspeakers at farmhouses, marriage halls, lawns, and open-air venues. The government approved regular monitoring of wedding hall timings, emphasizing that the one-dish policy applies everywhere to maintain discipline, control noise pollution, and prevent public disturbance.
