PCB Chief praised Pakistan’s wheelchair cricket team and gave them a Rs. 1.5 million cheque

Members of the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Team recently convened at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for a special gathering with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. This meeting was organized following an invitation extended by Naqvi to celebrate the team’s outstanding achievements.

Earlier this year, the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Team secured the Asian Wheelchair Championship title in Nepal, triumphing over Sri Lanka in an impressive final match. Their success was further highlighted by their victory in the T20 Wheelchair Cricket Asia Cup 2023.

During the gathering, Mohsin Naqvi extended his congratulations to the team on their remarkable accomplishments and presented them with a cheque of PKR 1.5 million as a token of appreciation. He praised their dedication and hard work, expressing optimism for their future achievements. Naqvi assured the team of the PCB’s steadfast support in their endeavors going forward.

In response, members of the Wheelchair Cricket Team expressed their gratitude to the PCB for the acknowledgment and encouragement received. They recognized the importance of this support in nurturing their love for cricket and representing Pakistan on international platforms.

Among those in attendance at the gathering were Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council Chairperson Rukhsana Rajput, team captain Mohammad Zeeshan, vice-captain Imran Arain, batter Syed Arsalan Ahmed, wicketkeeper-batter Muazzam Nawaz, and bowler Mohammad Fayyaz. Their presence underscored the unity and camaraderie within the team, reflecting their collective dedication to the sport and their nation.
