Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have taken a significant step to boost bilateral security cooperation as Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif agreed to launch a joint police and paramilitary training-exchange programme during a high-level meeting in Riyadh. The talks, attended by top officials from both sides, focused on enhancing information sharing, capacity building, and coordinated action against terrorism and cross-border threats. Prince Abdulaziz also offered condolences over the recent attack on the Federal Constabulary Headquarters in Peshawar, acknowledging the sacrifice of the fallen personnel. The two countries further discussed the legal status of Rohingya Muslims living in Saudi Arabia, with a new decision expected under a formal agreement. Naqvi praised the strong Pakistan-Saudi partnership, calling the Kingdom “a second home for every Pakistani.”
