New captain Shan Masood aims for Pakistan to ‘make history’ during the tour to Australia

The captain of Pakistan’s Test cricket team, Shan Masood, is optimistic about overcoming historical challenges and changing their performance trajectory in Australia.

With Pakistan never having secured a Test series victory in Australia, Masood views this upcoming series as a golden opportunity to create history.

He underscores the importance of achieving positive outcomes in the forthcoming Test matches, emphasizing the team’s target of scoring 400 runs and taking 20 wickets.

Despite historical records, Pakistan currently leads the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle, instilling confidence in Masood regarding the team’s readiness for the upcoming series.

Masood applauds the appointment of Adam Hollioake as the batting coach, citing his expertise in Australian conditions. The Test series against Australia is scheduled to commence on December 14 in Perth.
