The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast heavy rains across Sindh from September 7 to 10, warning of possible urban flooding in Karachi and other low-lying areas. A low-pressure system moving from India is expected to bring strong monsoon currents into Sindh and eastern Punjab, with rainfall predicted in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, and several other districts. Parts of Balochistan are also likely to receive showers. In Punjab, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi, rain is expected between September 6 and 8, which may worsen flood-affected regions and trigger flooding in seasonal nullahs. Meanwhile, the NDMA has issued landslide alerts for Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, particularly in Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Haveli, Bagh, Poonch, and Sudhnoti.
