Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman strongly criticized Pakistan’s ruling elite and Muslim leaders for remaining silent on Israel’s attacks in Gaza, accusing them of seeking U.S. approval and avoiding even the mention of Hamas. Speaking at a massive Gaza Solidarity March in Karachi, he reaffirmed that Pakistan’s stance, in line with Quaid-e-Azam’s vision, recognizes only Palestine and not Israel. Hafiz Naeem called Hamas a legitimate resistance movement under the UN Charter and urged Pakistan to officially recognize it and permit an office in the country. He condemned Western powers, especially the U.S., for supporting Israel’s aggression and using veto power to block UN resolutions, calling it a clear display of global hypocrisy.
