Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has unveiled an ambitious plan to distribute 35,000 laptops to students across the province within 90 days. The initiative, part of the Chief Minister’s Laptop and Merit Scholarship Program, aims to support students in achieving academic excellence.
Under this program, deserving students will receive cutting-edge Core i7, 13th-generation laptops. Special provisions include 2,000 laptops for minority students and awards for top performers in Matriculation and Intermediate exams. Priority will go to students in fields such as Computer Science, Medicine, Engineering, and Agriculture.
Alongside laptops, 40,000 scholarships will be awarded, with 18,000 allocated for female students. The scholarships will benefit 30,000 students from public institutions and 10,000 from private institutions. A special focus is on students from Southern Punjab, ensuring better educational opportunities in underserved areas.
This initiative highlights the government’s dedication to advancing education and empowering youth. By providing advanced technology and financial aid, it aims to enhance learning outcomes, prepare students for future challenges, and promote inclusivity by supporting minority and female students.
