Bilawal Bhutto: Constitutional Protection Granted to Field Marshal Rank

Pakistan’s National Assembly has discussed the 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill, which brings major changes to the country’s constitution. Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, chairman of the PPP, said the bill fulfills commitments made in the Charter of Democracy between key political parties. A key feature of the amendment is the creation of constitutional courts to handle constitutional matters and speed up the judicial process. The bill also grants constitutional protection to the rank of Field Marshal under Article 243, reflecting its historical importance. Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar presented the bill, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and former PM Nawaz Sharif in attendance, highlighting its national significance.
