Bangladesh cricket star Shakib Al Hasan is in legal trouble after a Dhaka court issued an arrest warrant against him in a dishonoured cheque case linked to IFIC Bank. The 37-year-old cricketer, living abroad since August 2024, missed a court hearing for the case filed on December 15, 2024. The case alleges that Shakib and three others failed to repay a debt of BDT 41.4 million (4.14 crore taka). The payment, meant to be made through two cheques from his company, Al Hasan Agro Farm Ltd., was declined due to insufficient funds.
