Girl Studying on Rooftop Killed in Aerial Firing During Wedding Celebrations

A 19-year-old girl, Laiba, who was preparing for her intermediate exams on the rooftop of her home in Karachi’s North Nazimabad, tragically lost her life after being struck by a stray bullet during aerial firing at a wedding celebration. The bullet hit her in the head, and she remained unconscious on the roof for hours before succumbing to her injuries.

The incident occurred as a wedding procession, headed for Hyderabad, was passing by. Guests from the groom’s side engaged in celebratory aerial firing, which tragically hit Laiba while she was studying on her rooftop nearby.

According to the police, Laiba’s neighbor, identified as Ali Raza, lives next door to the venue where the wedding celebrations were taking place. The wedding procession was preparing to depart for Hyderabad at 9:00 AM when the tragic accident occurred.
