The China Asia Economic Development Association (CAEDA) plans to invest $13 billion in Pakistan’s free trade zone over the next five years, with potential growth to $30 billion. The zone will cater to local and global markets, featuring a duty-free shopping mall. CAEDA has already invested $500 million by sending 20 fishing boats and is working with Pakistan’s government to explore opportunities in energy, health, petroleum, solar energy, and pharmaceuticals.
