Security forces killed 13 militants in five separate intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on March 6–7, according to the military’s media wing. In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operations were part of an ongoing counter-terrorism campaign targeting members of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), referred to by the state as Fitna Al Khawarij. Five militants were killed during an exchange of fire in Bajaur district, while three others were neutralised in separate encounters in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan. Security forces also killed five more militants in two additional engagements in Khyber and South Waziristan districts. The military said the operations were carried out based on intelligence reports and reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating militant threats in the region.
