Sweden has resumed its visa services in Islamabad, allowing Pakistani nationals to apply for Schengen visas again starting July 7, 2025. The services had been suspended since April 2023 due to security concerns. The decision to reopen was confirmed during bilateral talks between Pakistan and Sweden in Stockholm on July 2. The Foreign Office welcomed the move, calling it a positive step towards strengthening relations between the two countries. Pakistani applicants can now apply for short-term visas of up to 90 days to visit Sweden.
